New Lydiksen Lancer?

Lydiksen Elementary School is thinking about adopting a new look for our school mascot, the Lancers. The old image (below left) has often been compared to Marvin the Martian and/or a grape. This image is simple and easy to draw, but students have difficulty telling you exactly what a Lancer is.

Thanks to the Lydiksen PFC, we have a new possibility for our mascot's look. In the new image (below right), the Lancer is holding a flag and is pretty well concealed, meaning we might need to come up with a news name for "Sir Lance."
